Hello 2026!

This took a bit longer than it probably should have to make, but I think I’m finally getting somewhere with understanding HTML and style sheets. I am not sure if this is exactly what I wanted for a blog post, but at least my words can be written somewhere to start!

I’m currently typing in Google Docs for my horrendous spelling and grammar, and then will copy and paste into HTML for blog posts on my website! I think I will get away with using AO3’s rich text editor for that.

Sooo, journaling, huh? Putting my life online for strangers and my handful of friends to read. I guess I’ll have to be careful what I say and who I share it with. But that said, this is MY website and MY rules, so I can do and say whatever the FUCK I want! That was my whole point of making a site in the first place!

Well, first of all, I got a few housekeeping things I want to get off the ground now that I sort of figured out how to make webpages. One thing I really wanted to get into is doing my own reviews of movies, games and any media I consume. So, to start that off, anyone reading can find the new Reviews button up on my navigation bar! 

Today (well, yesterday since it is now past 12 AM as of writing this), I went to see the new SpongeBob SquarePants movie with my mom and my cousin, J. (You know who you are.) It was a very good movie for what it was, and it’s perfect for my first review on my website! When I finish and post it, feel free to check it out! I have a lot of opinions and a passionate love for the series. I grew up with it afterall!

Some of my earliest memories involve the silly yellow sponge. I also had a lot of different toys and merch growing up, and I still collect as a grown adult. I just have adult money now to spend on it! One thing that has grown on me is the realization that SpongeBob has a fandom culture just like anything else. But that discussion is probably best saved for its own blog post.

Aside from that, I haven’t got much to say about my actual day. We went to see the movie, and that was about it. I came home and started fucking around with my blog and website. I’m sleeping in a lot again, which is something I wanted to get out of for newyears so maybe this will keep me motivated to get up and post.

I’m doing okay with school. I’m on top of everything so far this semester, and scoring fine on my tests. We had to do some grammar and word study stuff just as a refresher, and it’s funny how much you forget from grade school. Or what they didn’t really cover. I was always told that Verbs are “action words.” Thus, my brain doesn’t consider “is” a Verb, but it is. I only got a 70 on that quiz. Ha! English is hard, man.

It’s kinda weird writing updates like this as if anyone but my mom is going to read them, probably. (Hi, mom!) Maybe I’ll come at this differently next time. Make it like I’m writing a letter to one of my OCs or something. I’m sure Wiley could use some mail, as if he’s not already sick of me as it is. >:3c

Anyway, this blog post is dragging on long enough, I suppose, and I have nothing else to add as I want to go write that movie review while it’s still fresh in my mind! Thanks for reading, and take care!
